Drive on it. At 40 psi a crew can run a power buggy or a mini skid steer straight across the board without damaging it, so you keep your pour reach and can often take the pump truck off the job entirely. That same pass ruins the 25 psi board sold at most supply houses.

Recycled, and better for it. Eighty five percent of the finished board is post-consumer polystyrene collected in the United States: foam packaging, cups, appliance padding, offcuts from rigid insulation. Recycled content normally means a discount and a worse product. Here it is the reason the board performs.

    Slab on grade starts with the board. Our rule of thumb is short: if you are pouring concrete on the ground and it is not a footing, there is foam going underneath it. A continuous layer under the whole pour stops the slab losing heat straight into the subgrade.

Can equipment be driven over the foam before the pour?

Yes, on the 40 psi and above. Crews run power buggies and mini skid steers directly across it without damaging the board, which keeps your pour reach and often removes the need for a pump truck. Ordinary 25 psi board from a big box store will not survive that pass.

What is the recycled content?

A minimum of 85 percent post-consumer polystyrene. Waste is collected in the United States and manufactured into board in Canada, under tighter production regulations than the equivalent US process.

Which grade do I need under a slab?

For residential and light commercial work, 40 psi. For parking structures, fire halls and anything carrying heavy truck traffic, 60 psi. For industrial and structural loads, 100 psi. Tell us the application and we will confirm the grade.
