Forms, foam and rebar

Monolithic slab forms that hold the concrete

We build the forms, supply the foam, and bend the rebar. One delivery, one supplier, and a form that stays where you put it while you pour.

Why we build them

The forms used to fall down while you poured

Ryan started on his father's crew at fourteen. The method then was to frame the outside of a slab with lumber, lay foam against it, tape the foam up, and hope.

The foam would fall down as you are pouring, and you just say, oh well, there is nothing you can do about it.

Ryan Bruckelmyer, on the old way
  • The form is the foam. It holds the concrete with no wood behind it, so the lumber, the stakes and the stripping all come off the job.
  • Ninety degree corners. We supply them. The main form system on the market does not.
  • Built to your detail. Awkward geometry on a commercial job can usually be made as a foam form, which most contractors do not know is possible.

What we supply

Monolithic slab forms

Insulated forms for slab on grade, including the corners other systems leave you to improvise.

Frost protected shallow foundations

The form and the wing insulation, sized to the frost depth your code requires.

The complete package

Forms, foam and rebar dropped on site together. A homeowner, a builder or our crew can assemble it.

Custom forms

Built to a drawing for the details that would otherwise cost a crew days in lumber.

What it is worth

The morning of a pour

Concrete arrives on a schedule. The forms are ready or they are not, the weather does what it does, and anything that fails at that stage is expensive.

Right before a concrete pour, I am about the most stressed out I normally ever get, because I am looking at what can go wrong. With these forms and this foam, I have not had anything go wrong with them.

Slab system questions

How is this different from the other foam form systems?

Two things. We supply 90 degree corners, and our forms are XPS rather than EPS. We will also build a form to your detail rather than only selling stock sizes.

Can I get forms, foam and rebar in one delivery?

Yes, that is the point of the package. Tell us the slab and we will put the forms, the right psi grade of board and the bent rebar on one truck for one date.

Does the foam under the slab need to be a particular grade?

It follows the load. Residential and light commercial is Eco 40, truck traffic is Eco 60, industrial and structural is Eco 100. We will confirm before you order.

Amazing product! It is the only foam we will use beneath our concrete. It performs far better than its direct competitors at a similar price. Service has been excellent, and our materials always show up on time.
